Charming easy listening
impressionistic jazz - A well balanced blend of acoustic and electronic
instrumentations played by two very fine danish musicians.
On a snowy day in January Henriette Groth and August Engkilde played a 4 hours long 100% improvised session. The recording turned out so nice that it's now released on this album SNOW. The album is not the session in it's full length. August did some small tasteful cuts and edits to make this non-stop session into 14 selected tracks.
Henriette Groth who is well known from her collaboration with the Saxophone player Lotte Anker, on their album “Du fugl”, does on “SNOW” play both the Piano as well as beautiful Clarinet melodies.
Having played on more than 30 albums and being a producer on 17 of them, August Engkilde is a very experienced multi-instrumentalist. He have in the past performed with among others; Pole, Senor coconut, Flanger, Burnt Friedman, Ignacio Beroa, Patrick Pulsinger, Thomas Hass, Frederik Lundin, Ljiljana Petkovic Orchestra and Lew Solof.
On this album he handles his upright bass, a Nord Modular synth and an MPC 1000 for the percussion and ambient parts.
