Introduction to the name brumtones.During my work on the album
Kaotic Brain | Beautiful Noise, I wanted to record my old Hohner T-1 Piano through my old Peterson Bass Amp and some Electro Harmonix effect pedals. That gave some very nice bass sounds used on several tracks on that album. This setup was unfortunately a very noisy setup. In the beginning I tried to get rid of the noise, until I realized that is was actually very beautiful noise. Then I cranked up the volume of the amp to 10 and started to record only the noise. The result of that became the last track "Beautiful Noise" on that same album.
Thinking about this I decided not to call that kind sounds Noise anymore. It should have a more positive vibe, so I made up the name brumtones instead, which later was my inspiration for naming this music exploring platform as well.
I know that I am not the first or the only one in the world who find
the beauty in noisy sounds, I am just trying to give it a brumtone
twist.
But what are brumtones?I see brumtones as all kinds of unwanted sounds that surrounds us in general or that we bump into during our daily work, relaxation or traveling.
Try to be quiete a moment and listen to the brumtones that surrounds you right now.

What did you hear? A fridge? a highway near by? A coffe machine snorkling in the background? The fan from your computer or it's hard disc spinning? Total silence? Or some other brumtones that I can't even imagine?
The Random Brumtones Player.
The Random Brumtones Player is four simple players randomly playing brumtones from the same folder. They play at the same time, but you are welcome to play around with the volume control, stop a player or skip a track.
