This is the video documentation of the "August Engkilde & Global Units" performance in the Danish Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo May 26th. 2010, by August Engkilde & Global Units. The performance featured, Yan Jun: Feedback Sounds, Tao Yi: Drums, Casper Øbro: Video drawing, and August Engkilde: Bass, Melodica and Sampler.

August just came back from his tour in China playing at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai. It was a very interesting and successful tour and we meet some very nice people. A new tour is already under development with our new friends in China who August performed with. The participant where Yan Jun, Tao Yi, August Engkilde, Jun-Y Ciao (Jun Yuan), Justin Sebastian, Casper Øbro and Elton Engkilde. You can see the pictures HERE.

After the second year of a successful
series of "Urban Peas Sessions" at Berlin's tentstation with many great
artists playing live at this magic stage above an empty swimming pool,

Vilnius is European Capital of Culture 2009, as a part of this event brumtone are invited to do a special evening at the Satta bar Nov. 12th. As well, Ljiljana Petkovic Orchestra will play live at the Kulflux Nov. 13th. including visuals by Christian Buchmayr.
This coming Friday it's "cultural night" in many cities in Denmark. August Engkilde are performing an ambient improvised set together with the fantastic singer, Basson player and performer Aida Nadeem. After 2 very fine concerts in Collaboration with Henriette Groth and Marc Weiser at the Urban Peas/Brumtone nights at Tentstation in Berlin + some great concerts by my Brum From Denmark Trio project, I am now preparing the next big thing...
January is always a hard month. After Christmas holiday you suddenly
wake up and realize that you have lots of work to do, and that you
maybe should have looked just a bit at it during the holidays. Anyway I

At the moment I am working on the random brumtones player for the site.
I am for ths player collecting brumtones from different noise machines,
the highway, the seeway, the ocean, the kithchen, the nature, the
subway and lots of other interesting brumtones generating sources.

Hi, I am August Engkilde. I am the artist behind EPO, Police Beat Box, August Engkilde (Surprise!), Elektrazz (in collaboration with Kruzh'em). This is where I will be posting news about my work at the moment as well as thoughts about music.
Music Fair Trade in the brumtone shop means that all extra money you may choose to add to a product goes directly to the artist. We do this since brumtone artists and related artists in the shop are explorers in music and not compromise in style or quality and therefore rarely sell like pop artists.
